The National Council of Jewish Women is a volunteer organization that has been at the forefront of social change for over a century. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW courageously takes a progressive stance on issues such as child welfare, women's rights and reproductive freedom.

Founded in Chicago in 1893, National Council of Jewish Women is the oldest Jewish women's volunteer organization in the United States, numbering over 90,000 nationally.

The Chicago North Shore Section, with over 1,000 members, makes an impact through an integrated program of education, community service and social action. We offer our members personal growth, volunteer opportunities, education, recreation and special events.
