NCJW Spotlight: Let’s Dance – Breaking Down Disability Barriers

March 28, 7:00 pm

Meet Ginger Lane!
Dancer, leader of women in the arts, disabilities advocate

Ginger will energize us about the myths and stereotypes about people with disabilities. We will be awakened to recognizing disabilities, respecting, and communicating with people with disabilities, and what we can do to build more open, inclusive environments.

Ginger started her career as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. After a skiing accident in 1984 she changed the setting of her passion for dance, working with Access Living as the Co-coordinator of Arts & Culture until her retirement in 2019.
She brought integrated dance via CounterBalance to the world while at Access Living. CounterBalance works in conjunction with MOMENTA Dances. Ginger is proud that she was arrested with 103 others in Washington, D.C., as part of the fight to pass the ADA act in 1990.
