Salon Discussion – Abortion 100+ Days Since Roe was Overturned

November 16, 7:00 pm

Zoom

Join us for a lively discussion of the implications of the overturning of Roe.

By now, we all know that the Supreme Court ruled in June that states have the power to regulate or restrict abortion, saying it is not a constitutional right, overruling Roe v. Wade. Much has happened since June 24; we will discuss implications of the November elections, our feelings, religious and personal values, questions about what’s happening in other states, and how we can get involved.

NCJW’s scholar in residence Rabbi Danya Ruttenberg wrote: “This ruling would be outlawing abortion in cases when our religion would permit us, and it is basing its concepts of when life begins on someone else’s philosophy or theology.”
