For 125 years, NCJW has been there, and this year was no exception.

Just as we were there on Ellis Island welcoming refugees and protecting young single women from ending up in sweatshops and brothels in 1893… this year we were there at the airports, protesting the Muslim ban and in the courts protecting our immigrant brothers and sisters.

Just as we were there in Mississippi, marching for civil rights in the 60’s, this year we were there at the Supreme Court, standing up for women’s rights and LGBTQ rights.

Just as we proudly worked the halls of Congress to pass the Hate Crimes Act in 2009, this year we worked tirelessly on issues of gun safety and voter rights.

And, as always, we have been on the front lines of a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions… even as we have watched the states and the courts chip away at those rights.

That is what NCJW does – has always done. When times are difficult, NCJW doesn’t back down; we aim higher. We have changed the future for the better for women, children and families… and we will do it again – all we need is you.

NCJW needs your support.

Now is the time to dig deeper than ever before to help support our important work and be a part of changing the future. NCJW has never shirked from a challenge…and your support will make taking on what lies ahead a bit easier.

NCJW is aiming high this year; you can support us by “Aiming Chai”.  Please join our Aiming Chai challenge with a donation this year of $180 or more.  For 125, NCJW has been instrumental in protecting and preserving the rights of women, children and families. Your support will help us be here for another 125 years!

We thank you for giving. And for giving generously.

We cannot permit ourselves to be anesthetized to the darkness. And as such, we cannot permit ourselves to lose hope that we might yet bring light, even if we don’t know if our efforts will be successful.” Rabbi Wendi Geffen
