Mitzvah in a Minute

Soup Kitchen Volunteers
Join NCJW as we participate in two Evanston Soup Kitchens: Beth Emet Synagogue  and First Methodist Church. Come prepare and serve meals to the homeless & working poor. Volunteers are need both to shop for ingredients and prepare and serve the meal. For more information or to volunteer contact communityservice@ncjwcns.org.

ENRICH (Educate-Nurture-Reach-Instruct-Coach-Help)
Make a positive difference in a young child’s life. Volunteer tutors are needed for Nuestro Homework Club. Tutors will work with small groups of early elementary students from Oak Terrace School. Prior teaching experience not needed; Training and curriculum will be provided. For more information, please email communityservice@ncjwcns.org.

New Americans Voter Registration Project
Are you interested in volunteering to register first-time voters?  Are you interested in helping our newest American citizens fulfill their first privilege of citizenship immediately after their official Oath Ceremony?  Here’s your opportunity to do both!  The “Illinois Coalition for Immigrants and Refugee Relief” (ICIRR) organization needs volunteers to offer one hour of time to help register these newest U.S. citizens at downtown Chicago locations.
