Art Speaks / People Act: Art as Advocacy, our August Spotlight

Art stirs the mind and activates the soul. We react to strong images, words, and music which propels us to action. For example, Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, singing We Shall Overcome, the Kent State shootings.

Hear and see how Faith Kohler, artist and filmmaker, and Robin Reid Drake, artist and poet, engage and inform people about social justice issues through their art.

Faith and Robin will then guide our creative talents to write a verse to show the importance of each and every vote! We’ll share these verses with our coalitions to use when we all promote the vote for the November election.
