Salon Discussion: Have We Made Progress on Racism in the US?

7:00 pm — 8:00 pm

Virtual on Zoom

In the past few years since George Floyd was murdered, renewed interest in racism in the United States has called for societal change.

During the Salon, we’ll discuss our views on several topics:
  1. Have we moved the needle to reduce racism in the U.S. since May 2020? How do we define “success” in reducing racism?
  2. Have policies and practices in government and private industry changed opinions or has the status of Black and Brown people improved?
  3. What has changed in your life? Do you read more about anti-racism? Are you practicing more anti-racist behaviors? Reading more about the topic?
  4. What else needs to happen to achieve racial equity in the U.S. and how can we as individuals and as NCJW be involved in making change?
