Spotlight on Illinois’ Assault Weapons Ban: Why It’s Good – But Not Good Enough

Illinois made history in January by passing the Assault Weapons Ban. This was an outstanding accomplishment on behalf of dedicated legislators, survivor advocates and grassroots activists from all across the state. As we celebrate, it’s important to know that this step toward ending the gun violence epidemic must the first, not the last. We must do more!
