Honor Earth Day in 2023 by learning about environmental justice in Illinois! A star-studded Spotlight!
Howard Learner, CEO, Environmental Law and Policy Center, ELPC, will help us celebrate Earth Day by highlighting changes since the first Earth Day in 1970.
Laura Goldberg, NRDC. Midwest Director, Energy Equity & Affordability will moderate a discussion with leaders of three local, on the ground environmental justice organizations that improve lives in Illinois.
Gina Ramirez. Manager, Midwest Outreach, Center for Policy Advocacy, NRDC. Works to further sustainable land use and zoning rules that can provide crucial protections to areas of Chicago, like the Southeast Side, that are burdened with cumulative industrial pollution.
Naomi Davis. Blacks in Green. Working on HB2172 to amend the Public Utilities Act to aid low income households pay for utilities. Be alert when witness slips are needed.
