NCJW Gives Back: Warm Hands, Warm Hearts
12:00 am — 11:00 pm
Virtual - order via Amazon or donate funds.
Join us in warming both the hands and hearts of some of the newest arrivals to our communities. With the influx of migrants arriving in Chicago, the front-line groups providing basic necessities and social service support cannot keep up with the demand for winter gear. This month, NCJWCNS is collecting snow gloves for all ages for Refugee Support Chicago (RSC). They are especially in need of men’s snow gloves to protect from the elements while working outside. You can shop our Amazon Wishlist or donate funds here which we use to buy more gloves (choose NCJW Gives Back in the drop down menu).
New or gently used are both accepted. If you’d like to drop off donations, please contact [email protected]
All monetary and in-kind donations will be given to RSC, a grassroots organization that provides newly arrived individuals across the Chicagoland area — refugees, asylum-seekers, and others forced to flee their home country — with basic necessities to live with dignity. As a mutual aid group solely operated by volunteers, the Project collects, sorts, and distributes in-kind donations to migrants through an extensive network of connections at shelters and through partner organizations.
