NCJW Gives Back: Backpacks for Child Survivors

This month, we are raising funds through NCJW Gives Back to purchase new backpacks for child survivors of domestic abuse. These backpacks are an integral part of our Luggage for Freedom program. As their families start over, we want to provide children in shelters with this essential item. In 2024, we packed 50 backpacks and delivered them to 11 local shelters. Our goal for 2025 is to triple or even quadruple the amount of backpacks!

The new backpacks will be filled with books, hand-made fleece blankets, new stuffed animals and other items of comfort. Each donation of $36 will purchase and fill a backpack for a child in need.
