December 16
Courts Matter: Federal Courts 101
1:00 pm — 2:30 pm
Zoom
We want courts that work for all of us. We will continue to fight for them. Corporate interests like health insurers, drug companies, and the gun industry – and their allies in the US Senate – have worked for years to stack the courts to ensure that they work for them, not for the rest of us. Many of you have engaged in our series Courts Matter to the 2020 Elections Webinars, and thanks to your efforts, we have energized and mobilized people like you who truly understand what is at stake.
This is why we are very excited to announce an upcoming Federal Courts 101 briefing co-hosted by The Leadership Conference Education Fund and National Council of Jewish Women, and sponsored by People For The American Way, the National Women’s Law Center, and other forthcoming organizations.
This training is intended for folks newer to this work. We will cover the state of the federal judiciary, an introduction to the judicial nominations process, and ways you can take action as an organization as a state or local-level organization or individual.
Please save the date and plan to join us on Wednesday, December 16, 2:00-3:30 pm ET. You can register here now, and Zoom information will be sent in advance of the webinar.
The momentum we built over the last few months can propel us forward as we demand judges who understand that courts should work for all of us, not just for the powerful and privileged. We need judges who are committed to equal justice for all.
Please hold the date and RSVP if you are interested in attending. And thanks for all that you do.
