NCJW Gives Back: Supporting Children, One Backpack at a Time

This summer, we are raising funds through NCJW Gives Back to purchase new backpacks for child survivors of domestic abuse. These backpacks are an integral part of our Luggage for Freedom program. As their families start over, we want to provide children in shelters with this essential item. In 2025, we packed over 400 backpacks and delivered them to 15 local shelters. Our goal is to exceed those numbers this year!

The new backpacks will be filled with books, hand-made fleece blankets, new stuffed animals and other items of comfort. Each donation of $36 will purchase and fill a backpack for a child in need.
