Comfort Care Packing Day: NCJW Gives Back for Repro Shabbat

For Repro Shabbat 2025, let’s join together on Sunday, 2/23 in Evanston to assemble Comfort Care Kits. We will hear from our Repro Educators about the latest reproductive health news in Illinois. Please see our registration form below.

Background: Since 2022, thousands of patients have traveled to Illinois to seek an abortion, with a nearly 25% uptick in out-of-state patients. Understanding the social, emotional and financial challenges patients may experience, NCJW created the Comfort Care Kit initiative to provide comfort to patients during such a vulnerable moment in their lives. Our kits were designed in conjunction with Planned Parenthood of Illinois and have provided solace for hundreds of patients.

Each kit costs approximately $6 and we are also asking for donations to help offset the cost of at least 200 kits! The kits include items such as: heating pads, fuzzy socks, snacks, and maxi-pads.
