NCJW Gives Back: Let’s Feed Our Neighbors

As part of our ongoing advocacy and educational work, May’s NCJW Gives Back campaign focuses on a critical issue facing our community: food insecurity. Beginning this month, as many as 250,000 Illinois residents could lose vital food assistance through the SNAP program due to changes in federal work requirements. Additionally, in a draconian cost shift, Illinois may be forced to shoulder up to $800 million next year just to keep SNAP afloat.
