Comfort Care Kit Packing Day: NCJW Gives Back

2:00 pm — 4:00 pm

Evanston, exact address provided when you register.

Join us in person for this important hands-on project, which provides a small but meaningful source of comfort for people who have sought an abortion.

Background: Since 2022, thousands of patients have traveled to Illinois to access abortion care, resulting in a nearly 25% increase in out-of-state patients. Recognizing the social, emotional, and financial challenges patients may face, NCJWCNS created the Comfort Care Kit Initiative to offer compassion and support during an especially vulnerable moment.

Each Comfort Care Kit costs approximately $6 to assemble. We are seeking donations to help offset the cost of at least 300 kits. Each kit includes thoughtfully selected items such as heating pads, fuzzy socks, snacks, and maxi pads.

If you’re unable to join us in person, you can still “Give Back” by donating funds here: https://ncjwcns.org/donate/ (choose NCJW Gives Back in the drop down menu)

Our kits were designed in conjunction with Planned Parenthood of Illinois and have provided solace for hundreds of patients.
