Investigating the root causes of hate crimes and the tools needed to combat discrimination.

The population and demographics of Illinois make the appreciation and acceptance of diverse cultures imperative.  No person or group of people should have to live in fear because of their race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation or religious belief.  Let’s look at the root causes of hate and discrimination and see how Illinois is working to reduce incidents of hate. How are we responding in the present, and what can we, collectively and individually, do to help?
