May 20, 7:00 pm

Zoom

What will our November Elections look like? How can we ensure safe and secure elections during COVID 19?

Please join us on  May 20 at 7pm for an exciting program in our Promote the Vote 2020 Summer Election series.

The first Tuesday in November, Election Day, as is written into the US Constitution, is key to democracy, and it has never been postponed. Is this election in jeopardy due to COVID 19?

Hear from Matt Dietrich of the Illinois State Board of Elections how they are ensuring that this election will be safe, secure and fair in Illinois.

  • What is the role of the ISBE in administering Illinois elections?
  • How will the $13.7 million from the CARES Act be distributed in Illinois?
  • What will ISBE do to protect the integrity of our votes in 2020?
  • What steps would need to be taken to move towards Vote By Mail for all for November 2020?

These questions and more will be addressed during the conversation.

The program is sponsored jointly by League of Women Voters Naperville, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and National Council of Jewish Women.
