Feminism: What We’ve Accomplished, Where We Are Now, What Happens Next?

Please join the National Council of Jewish Women Chicago North Shore (NCJWCNS) and the Women of Temple Sholom for an engaging conversation about the different generations of feminism, the future of the ERA, and concerns of women including reproductive justice, pay equity, and equality in the home sphere. The program will feature Rachel Shteir, award winning writer, whose work has appeared in national magazines and newspapers including the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. Rachel is the author of four books including Betty Friedan, Magnificent Disrupter. She is the founder and head of Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism at DePaul University.

Our other speaker, Sarah Garza Resnick, is the President and CEO of Personal Pac. Prior to joining Personal Pac, Sarah was the Chief Deputy Assessor of Cook County (2018-2023) and Chief of Staff to David Orr, Cook County Clerk (2016-2018). The discussion will be moderated by Temple Sholom Board member Carolyn Bronstein, author, editor, and Professor of Communication and Media Studies at DePaul University. Please see registration form below. You must RSVP to attend.

Following the discussion, there will be a reception. Rachel will sign copies of her book at that time. If you wish to purchase Rachel’s book ahead of the program, it is available at Women and Children’s First, on-line, and at the event.
