Jewish women gather near Skokie courthouse to mourn Ruth Bader Ginsburg: ‘We mark the end of her shiva by walking back into the world’
A group of suburban women came together Oct. 2 to pay their respects to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Gathered at Harms Woods, a short walk to the Skokie courthouse, The National Council of Jewish Women Chicago North Shore came together to host a march around the courthouse as a ceremonial end to the shiva for Ginsburg, who died last month.
Nearly 40 people attended the march to the courthouse and an additional 20 people joined a Facebook livestream of the event.
