Annual Martin Luther King Day of Service

Join together with the community virtually on Monday, January 18 beginning at 10 AM for the 12th Annual Martin Luther King Day of Service event hosted by the City of Highland Park’s Human Relations Advisory Group and the Park District of Highland Park. The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday is a perfect opportunity for Americans to honor Dr. King’s legacy through service. The MLK Day of Service moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community.

Dr. King tirelessly pursued the advancement of human rights for the greater good and we can honor him by practicing forms of charitable giving as a way to advance our communities.

NCJW Chicago North Shore will be collecting items to be used with our Mother’s Day Basket Project.

Please donate any of the following items (all donations must be NEW items):

  • Soap
  • Shampoo & Conditioner
  • Deodorant
  • Tooth paste &tooth brushes
  • Lotion
  • Cosmetics and cosmetic bags
  • Nail polish and nail accessories
  • Hair accessories
  • In response to COVID, we will also be collecting masks and gloves.
